"A Nation Remembers - The Pearl Harbor 65th Commemorative Ball"
December 5, 2006 at the Hilton Hawaiian Village
December 7, 1941 forever changed the world as we knew it. This year
marks the 65th annual commemoration of the attack on Pearl Harbor.
It is extraordinarily significant as it will most likely be the
final gathering for many of the survivors. The USS Arizona Memorial
stands as a tribute to 1,177 men who lost their lives aboard the USS
Arizona that morning defending our nation's freedom.
To honor these individuals, the Pearl Harbor Memorial Fund is proud
to announce that "A Nation Remembers - The Pearl Harbor 65th
Commemorative Ball" will be held December 5, 2006 at the Hilton
Hawaiian Village. Proceeds from this one-time gala will go towards
the campaign to build the new Pearl Harbor Memorial Museum and
Visitor Center. The new museum will replace the present facility
which has inadequate space and is currently sinking. This campaign
is vital in ensuring that the American men and women who fought in
Pearl Harbor and World War II are not forgotten.
David Close has donated
"The Arrival" to this event to support one
of our national treasures and remember the men and woman who have
served our great nation. You can learn more about this event at
